Drinks and Servicemen
Two random revelations for the day. The first being that drink prices in Singapore are really not that heinous, and that there is a justified reason in thing the faux-politeness that those who serve you are apt to employ. On to the first. In Singapore, there is such a thing called happy hour, hardly a [...]

Bathrooms and Plugs
Oh yeah…one slight against Singapore. While there are many countires which engage in the ludicrious practice of putting light switches on the outside of bathrooma, Singapore also has the piece-de-resistance of not having outlets in the bathroom…seriously…who designed this structural stupidity? A pox on both your houses!
Dumbest behavior ever…after electing Republicans

Dwayne Wade
I am tired of coming in late to watch a game, and having my friends use a small litany of statements to describe a game being decided by bad calls. Can we just agree to add a new word to the lexicon:

Grocery Store Angst
Tomatoes and Raisins. It is unlikely that I can afford both regularly. Of course, that is a bit of a misnomer. My salary is high enough t allow me to eat, but it is a question of priorities. Inevitably, whenever you move, certain foods become more or less palatable based on sticker shock, both positive [...]

Lacking debauchery
The mental perception that Singapore exerts is significant, immediate and insidious. Yesterday I went through a short tunnel, blazing white in a very post mod art deco style, like something out of A Clockwork Orange. Granted, the length was a bit lacking, but none of the normal amenities of such a place existed. In most [...]

First Singapore impression
The city is essentially a super large reality version of Sim City. The entire thing has been essentially constructed within the last 40 years since it was kicked out of Malaysia, a third world country at the time and has remained thus while its excluded southern neighbor has soared to new heights. During my initial [...]

Thoughts on the plane.
It is nice to be traveling with an accessible computer for once, because “brilliant” thoughts at 36,000 feet are less likely to be lost for all time…..of course please keep in mind the subjectivity of the bold and quoted adjective. Coming from a luxurious one month vacation my thoughts can’t help focusing on things that [...]
